Next Tuesday 22nd September we’re putting on a special last minute event to raise some money for this vital project. We’ve reached out to Social friends and family and are delighted to have the following special guests joining us for a evening of talks and conversation, and no small amount of music and drinking. Tickets are a tenner… they’ll be a few more chances on the night to give more with special drinks offers, and an amazing raffle including artwork, festival tickets and more.

Arrive early as the night will be introduced by Caitlin Moran (author, columnist and one of the people behind the hugely impactful charity release ‘Help Is Coming’) and John Niven (author of Kill Your Friends, long time Social barfly). Also talking on the night – the legendary Viv Albertine and the UK’s greatest beer writer, Pete Brown, who will give a masterclass on the brown stuff from behind the upstairs bar.

Later on, the Social will do what it does best – put on the very best music on offer anywhere the capital on both floors of the venue. Expect music from Dexy’s Midnight Runners’ iconic frontman Kevin Rowland; Hot Chip genius Joe Goddard; Bristolian legend and all-round top bloke DJ Die; producer, remixer and writer extraordinaire Andrew Weatherall; Turner Prize winning artist Jeremy Deller; illustrator and smooth music aficionado Pete Fowler and R&B and psych crate diggers In The Light Of Aquarius.

Doors 6pm-1am - talks from the off so dont get there late please!

Stay tuned for more music and literary announcements via Social media (twitter thesociallondon / facebook.com/Thesocialw1).

Any of you out there that want to help please get in touch! Please join us and please help us spread the word as we’ve left this late!

We want to raise a shit ton of money on the night, need all your help to make it happen

People with lots of followers on Twitter or on Facebook, a share would be really appreciated.

We're also planning a raffle - if you've got something you'd like to offer please get in touch.

People of the press with the power to list on amazing websites please do!

Love you all
